How phone weight and dimensions affect daily use
Go beyond screen diagonal when comparing comfort, pockets, grips, and cases.
Screen size is not body size
Two phones with the same diagonal can differ in width, height, corner shape, bezel, and aspect ratio. Width strongly affects thumb reach, while height influences pocket fit and top-screen access.
Compare exact dimensions and remember that cases add several millimeters. Camera projections can also affect how a phone rests on a table.
Weight distribution changes feel
A top-heavy phone can feel less secure than a balanced phone at the same measured weight. Foldables change balance as they open, and large camera assemblies can influence wrist fatigue.

Test realistic scenarios
Consider one-handed typing, reading in bed, navigation mounts, running belts, and extended camera use. A larger display may reduce portability while improving text size and editing space.
