Our classifications are designed to be explainable, reproducible, and appropriately cautious.
Effective price
Effective price includes the base price and mandatory shipping, activation, and upfront charges, minus only unconditional instant discounts. Conditional trade-in values, multi-year bill credits, gift cards, financing benefits, and unverified coupons are shown separately.
Historical comparisons
New, refurbished, used, and open-box observations are never merged. Historical summaries use verified observations for comparable variants and disclose the relevant date range, sample depth, gaps, and last-checked time.
Price verdicts
Excellent, good, typical, and above-typical labels compare a normalized current price with recent distributions and tracked lows while considering age, availability, condition, retailer reliability, and required commitments. When evidence is weak, the result is insufficient history.
